StepByStep Version 4.5 System Requirements

StepByStep runs on Windows computers. The minimum system requirements are in line with Microsoft guidelines:

For Windows XP : 

Processor :               Pentium IV 1GHz
Memory :                   512Mb
Hard Disk Space :    2GB Free

For Windows Vista / Windows 7 : 

Processor :               Pentium IV 1GHz
Memory :                    1GB RAM (32-bit) or 2GB RAM (64-bit)
Hard Disk Space :    2GB Free

Laptops / Screens require a minimum resolution of 1024x768 pixels.

Additionally, the software is supplied on DVD, so a DVD drive is required.
StepByStep uses many sound files, and so a sound-card and good speakers are recommended.
Some exercises also benefit from the use of a microphone. Please see our guide to microphones under the resources tab.
